Participatory Mapping
Planning is an inclusive process and through a partnership with Cal Poly’s Natural Resources Management & Environmental Sciences Department, input on the Community Plan Update is more accessible. The landscape mapping site is a participation tool that allows respondents to map community assets and constraints as well as propose land use changes. This kind of mapping project has been done all over the world but it is the first time for the County. This is just one of the many ways that residents and visitors can inform the Community Plan Update. The mapping tool will be available February 27th, 2017 - March 27th, 2017.
Mapping Support Office Hours
Cal Poly will be hosting mapping support office hours for individuals that do not have access to a computer and or are having difficulties using the mapping tool. These office hours will be held next Monday, March 20th from 2-5PM and Friday, March 24th from 9AM-12PM in lower level conference room of the Avila Community Center (191 San Miguel St).
